When Target announced their collaboration with Jason Wu, last year, I was so excited that I had to blog about it! Well now the official look book is out, and the marvelous Mr. Wu did not disappoint. Pieces range from $19.99 to $59.99 for clothes and $19.99 to $49.99 for accessories. The only downside: Jason Wu for Target is only available from February 5 through March 6. Will this become another next Missoni for Target or Versace for H&M situation? I think so, so you you had better get your wish list ready! Which looks are your favorite??

Hillarious...The theory vs. reality of Bra Shopping.
I stumbled upon this super funny little illustration on the blog of Miss Grace Disgrace (www.missdisgrace.com) and had to share it with you guys...it is sure to give you a laugh or two.
Amazing Beauty Product
In 1859, a 22 year old chemist from England spent his life savings on a ticket to Pennsylvania. Seeing a great opportunity in the petroleum industry, the purpose of this trip was to meet with oil purveyors in the area. While touring the oil fields, the young man noticed a rigger scraping an unidentified dark goo from the joints of one of the machines. Intrigued, the young man inquired further about this "goo" and was told that it was nothing more than a nuisance byproduct of the oil drilling process, but that some people claimed it made wounds heal faster.
And just like that, a billion dollar idea was born. The young man, named Robert Chesebrough, left Pennsylvania that day with a bucket full of this "rod wax" and spent the next 10 years purifying and perfecting the product. He tested his miracle healing product by cutting, stabbing, burning and applying acid to himself. The first vaseline factory opened in 1870, and the company received a patent for their wonder salve in 1872.
While vaseline was later scientifically proven to not possess any curative power whatsoever, it does have a lot of amazing uses. This is especially true for beauty conscious women. If you have never used Vaseline, I encourage you to get some...it is very inexpensive, and below I have included 20 uses for the product! The Vaseline brand also sells a variety of other lotions that come with a money back satisfaction guarantee (available at www.vaseline.us).
Enjoy trying out the use suggestions below and please let me know if you have any additional uses for this product!

1. Lip balm: moisturizes and soothes chapped lips but it doesn’t taste good.
2. Moisturizes dry skin.
3. Hand and feet moisturizer: it hydrates and smooths chapped hands and feet. Apply some petroleum jelly to your hands and feet and then put on mittens and socks. Wait about 10-15 minutes for the vaseline to soak into the skin. The result? Smoother and softer skin.
4. All over moisturiser: apply petroleum jelly all over your body after a bath. It will leave your skin soft and smooth.
5. Eye makeup remover: removes even the most stubborn mascara and soothes the eye area.
6. Scrub: mix petroleum jelly with sea salt to make your own scrub.
7. Night cream: it can be used as a night cream but you need to warm it up first.
8. Protects manicure: putting some vaseline on the base of your nails will stop the color from running.
9. Shaving: just put a very thin layer on the area that needs shaving and shave. Don’t use water. Also don’t apply too much product or it will plug up your razor. In addiction, vaseline can get a bit greasy, but it will leave your skin soft, smooth and moisturized.
10. Highlighter: apply it on cheeks and undereye area for that dewy look.
11. Softens skin: apply some vaseline to elbows, heels, or balls of feet daily. It will soften them.
12. Lipgloss: apply some lipliner all over your lips and top it off with vaseline for instant shine.
13. Maintains fragrance longer: apply a thin layer of vaseline on your wrist before spraying perfume on. It will make the scent last longer.
14. Lip exfoliant: apply petroleum jelly to your lips and wait a few minutes. Then, using an old toothbrush, scrub your lips. This will exfoliate lips, leaving them very soft.
15. Protects skin from hair dye: apply some vaseline around the hairline before coloring your hair to protect your skin from the harsh chemicals contained in the dye.
16. Conditioner: Apply some to the scalp before shampooing to condition it.
17. Seals in split ends: if you put some vaseline on your split ends, it will seal them in and make it look like they aren’t there. But don’t do this too often as it will take a couple of shampoos to remove vaseline from your hair.
18. Cream blusher: mix some vaseline with your lipstick to make your own cream blusher.
19. Prevents uneven tanning: just put some on dry spots before applying fake tanning lotions.
20. Moisturize and tame eyebrows: putting a small amount of vaseline on your brows before going to bed will not only moisturize them, but it will mold them into place too.

Art is the solution to chaos...Frances Bean Cobain
Frances Bean Cobain is a name that many of us have heard. She is the 19 year old daughter of the late "Grunge God" Curt Cobain (frontman of Nirvana) and Courtney Love. Despite her rock royal lineage, Frances Bean has spent most of her life staying out of the public eye. In October of last year, however Cobain and her boyfriend Isaiah Silva, frontman of rock band the Rambles announced that they are engaged. Little else was known about their relationship until Silva recently went on record with People magazine saying, "We're each other's everything," and "We're homebodies. We don't go out to clubs so you won't find us stumbling out of them with Lindsay Lohan. We stay at home, read books and watch 'Arrested Development.'" The couple have not announced any other details about their forthcoming marriage, but one thing is for cetain...she will be a beautiful bride.
As a baby, Frances Bean was often photographed in the arms of her mother and father. Being mostly raised by her grandmother, following the tragic death of her father, Frances Bean been rarely seen. In 2008, a babyfaced 15 year old posed for Harpers Bazaar Magazine and spoke openly and maturely about having her own identity. While it is easy to understand how one would want to stay out of the public eye, in this case, it is actually quite a shame. Recent photos have been released that depict Frances Bean Cobain as a magnetic and alluring young lady. The photographs were taken by famed photographer Hedi Silmane (formerly of Dior Homme). I found them online, and had to share them with you guys... Im also including a picture of the adorable betrothed couple together on the streets of LA, so here's to hoping that we get to see some wedding photos in the near future!

Leonardo Da Vinci the Designer
The famed artist Leonardo Da Vinci was a man who wore many hats over the course of his life (1452-1519). In addition to being a painter and sculptor, Da Vinci worked as an inventor, a scientist, an architect, an engineer, a writer, a musician and even a fashion designer. After months of meticulous research, scholars have now reconstructed some fragmented drawings of a unique hand bag designed by this Renaissance genius around 1497. Called "Pretiosa," (meaning "precious" in Leonardo's time) the bag has finally been brought to life by the renowned Florentine fashion house Gherardini. The finished recreation will be presented in a world premier tomorrow at the Pitti fashion show in Florence. It will then go on show in a related exhibition at the Academy of the Arts of Drawing
Made of refined leather, the bags shape recalls the lectern in "The Annunciation," painted by Leonardo in the workshop of Verrocchio, and its patterns feature the same rotating spirals and floral motifs, scrolls and foliage seen in metamorphosis, Boasting a unique closing system, the bag was designed at the end of Leonardo's first Milanese period, around 1497. At that time, the artist was painting the tapestries in the Last Supper and knots designs in the Sala delle Asse in the Castello Sforzesco.

Fairy Tale Fashion
As a Pisces, I am eternally consumed with trying to escape from the real world and I find that fashion is the easiest way for me to create an alternate reality for myself. I am always the girl that is a little over dressed, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with it! For me, everyday life is a special occasion and I dress accordingly. I love, love, love the photos that Eugenio Recuenco (a well known photographer from Spain) took for Vogue magazine in 2006, and I hope you are inspired by them as well. We all know that real life rarely resembles a fairy tale, but hey, at least you can put on a pretty dress and feel like a princess when you look in the mirror!
