90 Days One Dream

Paris-based fashion photographer Kristian Schuller sees things big and in vivid color. His images tend to be acutely seductive, and posess the capability to transport viewers into a  fashion dream world that is nothing less than consuming. Learning from the biggest and best, Schuller studied fashion design with Vivienne Westwood and photography with FC Gundlach at the University of Fine Arts Berlin. After his initial introduction by Isabella Blow to Condé Nast Publications in London, Kristian has continued working internationally with various fashion magazines and commercial clients. His new book, 90 Days One Dream is now available in both a hard back edition as well as a digital download edition.

Taylor Swift's Vogue Cover Shoot

Taylor Swift seems to be one of those polarizing celebrities that people either straight up love, or love to hate.  I have to be honest (even at the risk of losing the respect of a few readers) and say that I really like Taylor Swift.  Not only is she ubelievably striking with her long golden curls, porcelain skin, and incredibly long legs,  she also is one hell of a song writer.  I think she is quite gifted in her ability to write about her feelings and experiences in life, and like so many girls, can relate to the things she describes in her songs!  In fact, her music plays almost daily on my ipod as I trek up 100 floors on the stair master at LA Fitness.  As a fashion fanatic, I also find it interesting to watch how her style is evolving and changing as she transitions from the style of a teenage girl to that of a young woman.

Savage Beauty...Alexander McQueen

The Savage Beauty exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, took place during the Spring/Summer of 2011.  The exhibition was a celebration of the late Alexander McQueen’s extraordinary contributions to fashion.  Mr. McQueen is revered in the world of fashion for his ability to challenge and expanded the understanding of fashion beyond just functionality and into a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. He was a true artist whose iconic medium of choice was fashion.  

The exhibition featured approximately one hundred ensembles and seventy accessories from Mr. McQueen’s prolific nineteen-year career.  Below are a few of the looks that were featured in the exhibition...

Tim Walker...Fashion Photography Genius

British fashion photographer Tim Walker,  has been featured in Vogue magazine, month by month, for over a decade.  He is known for highly stylized and extravagantly staged photos featuring whimsical and romantic motifs.  Many of his fashion photos were among my all time faves, long before I realized they were all the work of the same man, and I have included some of those photos below!  I hope that you guys enjoy these as much as I do!  If you are interested in seeing more from Tim Walker, check out his website http://www.timwalkerphotography.com
